How to get Konis replaced under warranty

My konis have pretty much ceased to dampen like they used to. What is the procedure for having them replaced under warranty? A friend said that with his Tokicos he simply ordered a new set from a store and when he went to pick them up, simply brought his old ones with him and exchanged them. Will this work with koni also? The lifetime warranty was one of the reasons that i bought the konis so i'm hoping that the exchange procedure is a simple one.

Anyone been through this?

Since the clutch has to come out, I'm thinking I might as well take advantage of the downtime and deal with the konis as well.
